Thank you to the nearly 350 people who attended one of the Listening & Learning Workshops held this week. These workshops are the first phase of community input that will help to inform the direction of the OneDecatur plan.

If you didn’t attend, it’s not too late to have your say and help shape the plan. Now through November 30, you can submit ideas and map-based opportunities on Even if you did attend a workshop and have thought of more  to share, we still want to hear from you. Please spread the word about this opportunity to others who care about Decatur.

In addition to this week’s workshops and the online opportunity, the OneDecatur Steering Committee is committed to hearing from all segments of the Decatur community. They will be conducting several targeted focus groups with young people and certain minorities who may be underrepresented in the process.

The committee will begin reviewing all of this material at their December meeting.

Please remember to include consideration for the plight of the homeless in the area. There are several encampments located in this area.

    Thank you,
